
The Barbershop Talk created a welcoming space for young African American men to connect, share, and learn from community role models. With the familiar vibe of the barbershop, the event sparked honest conversations about challenges, dreams, and opportunities — all while building bonds that strengthen the community.

The Drum Circle was a vibrant youth program led by Baba Dennis, where participants explored the power of rhythm and heritage. Through traditional African drumming, lively chants, and other cultural expressions, young people learned how music can connect generations, celebrate identity, and spread joy throughout the community.

Alpha Genesis CDC sponsored 20 students from Cambridge, MD on a virtual tour to Ghana, West Africa!

Youth experienced a roughly 12 mile bike from Cambridge South Dorchester High School to the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park to support the building of a Harriet Tubman Statue in Cambridge.
